Mill Street recently opened in the Fall of 2020 as a unique wedding and special events venue located on the grounds of the historic Campbell Mill in Utica, Ohio. Mill Street loves providing the back drop for a couple’s dreams and is honored to open their doors to share precious moments with family and friends. The venue specializes in weddings, celebrations, and events of any kind. With multiple accommodations to choose from, Mill Street wants you to spend your special day in a place that makes you feel comfortable, and they will do everything they can to ensure the best wedding experience possible!
The venue includes a working micro-distillery available for tours and licensed to sell alcohol directly to consumers for any event. Couples can reserve a 5 gallon oak barrel of bourbon or brandy and come back on their anniversary and bottle. There are beautiful onsite accommodations located in the crows nest of the Campbell Mill. Mill Street also has accommodations close by in their newly renovated Mill House located on Main Street, in the heart of Utica. This spectacular pre-Civil War abode is perfect for out of town guests or to host showers, parties, and rehearsal dinners. Outdoor amenities include multiple swing spaces, large spacious decks, fire pit, waterwheel, pond, waterfall, and more.
Meet Beth and Doug Morgan
Beth and Doug Morgan are the owners of Mill Street. The pair met in first grade and have since grown passionate about saving historic structures and re-purposing them for the 21st century. Beth and Doug also own Mount Vernon Barn Company, a business that specializes in restoring 19th century timber-frame barn and log cabins. Mount Vernon Barn Company has applied its passion and craftsmanship to convert the historic Mill Street building into a unique wedding and special event venue providing an opportunity for guests to connect and become part of Mill Streets legacy. Their restoration work has been featured in three DIY television shows. Aside from work, they love spending time with their growing family and enjoy hobbies like gardening and music.
You will see Beth and Doug around, but the daily operations and event coordination will be handled by their nephew Jay. Jay has experience in the industry. He owns The Drank Tank which is something unique that you can also have as part of your celebration at Mill Street.
